A few random notes

A few random notes to get things started.

I've been sidelined from biking for a bit by a stubborn cold.  It always amazes me how hard your first ride is once you hop back on your bike.  And it makes me glad I ride a bike with a triple!  I was loving my little gears tonight.  Three laps around the 5 mile and I'm done in.

Generally, I don't relish the idea of someone getting a ticket.  But, it brought a smile to my face when I saw speeder going way over the limit get pulled over on the 5 mile tonight.  Every single survey that addresses why more people don't ride bikes points to safety and particularly being safe from cars as being one of the main things keeping people off bikes.  So, a hat tip goes out to the TPD for keeping the speeds down in The Point and keeping safe it welcoming for beginning riders.

If you're looking for a ride that's a little different and fun, head up north and give the I-90 trail a go.  The views on clear days the views are great and the ride through the tunnel on the Seattle end is fun.  The trail splits north/south at the Seattle southern end dumps you out at Lewis Park in Beacon Hill, which I think, is about 10 miles from the northern  terminus of the Interurban Trail.  'Oh, the possibilities that exist for a great day on a bike...
