Recycled clothing is the new black
You know how you have those clothes in the back of your closet, the ones that used to be your lucky outfit or your favorite outfit but now (for whatever reason) you can't wear them?
Tacoma Art Place is having this really cool workshop on reassembling used clothes. You bring your old stuff and the teacher will show you (yes you! no experience necessary!) how to make something new and fabulous out of it. Details below:
Saturday, January 17th
10:00 AM to Noon and 1:00 to 3:00 PM (break for lunch)
Please RSVP (please include a phone number in case they need to notify you about a class cancellation)
Cost: $30 donation to Tacoma Art Place (No Day Pass needed)
Ages 14 and up.
Wrong size? Stained? Out of fashion? Still haven't been able to toss it out for some
reason? Great! Make it into something fabulous and unique! Bring some clothes and any other embellishments (new fabric optional) so Ann Darling, a custom clothing designer and creator, can help you make recycled apparel to be envied. Tacoma Art Place has the sewing machines, scissors, pins and everything else you will need (we have many thread colors but feel free to bring something specific). Ann will also have samples of her custom work for show and for sale at Tacoma Art Place.
