COUNTDOWN: 9 days til the festival, 11 days until I'm available for hire
Hello everybody, I thought you might be interested in what's happening with Tacoma Winterfest. If not, please stop reading this blog immediately. *smile*
We're on the final stretch now and things are shaping up pretty nicely! Here are 6 new and exciting updates:
We received over 80 vendor applications already so we are totally full - we even had to turn away some people which made me sad but had to be done. We only had so much space to work with.
Friday Dec. 4th is the deadline to turn in your promotional items to be added to the Tacoma Winterfest gift bags. We will hand out these gift bags to the first 250 people through the door with paid admission each day. We have some really great stuff so far! We want this to be a gift bag - not a bag of advertisements so please keep that in mind when selecting what you'd like to put in there. Drop off 500 or 250 of your items between 9-5 at Foss Waterway Seaport, 705 Dock Street.
We still need a few more volunteers. If you like getting involved with community this will be a really fun volunteer project. The volunteers we already have are really awesome people and we have a great time together.
This Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 pm we are going to work on decorating. We have snacks planned.
During the festival we have several (four hour shift) positions (Dec.13 between the hours of 11 am and 11 pm and Dec. 14 between the hours of 11 am and 9 pm.)
1 SHIFT = Free admission both days
2 SHIFTS = Free admission both days for you and a friend
3 SHIFTS = All of the above plus free Foss Waterway Seaport membership
4 SHIFTS = All of the above plus free tickets on a party cruise!!!
If you are interested in volunteering please contact Diane Collins at email@example.com
