It's the home stretch! Yippee!
The warehouse where Tacoma Winterfest takes place has been absolutely transformed into a winter wonderland. Mary K Johnson and the folks from Fashion Association of Tacoma out did themselves. I can't wait for you guys to see it. We really made this happen! Almost no budget, very little staff, 1st year event, recession - all the odds were against us but some how the gods were with us because wow is this going to be a fun event.
But wait - where's the News Tribune article? Nope. Nothing there. Maybe they are waiting until the weekend to cover it? The only mention I found was in the arts calendar under the category "other" and it was given just one line.
Oh well. We have a TV commercial on Discovery Channel, MTV, Lifetime, HGTV, FX and TNT, a radio ad on KVTI I-91 FM, ads in all the major local papers and on Sound Transit. We have the support of the business, music and art communities in Tacoma and a wide email/internet marketing campaign. I think we're good to go. I'm super excited!
See ya this weekend!
