Advertising for the Olympus Apartments

Why I hate real estate advertising.

From Apartments.com's listing for the Olympus Apartments.  What planet do these writers live on?

Now the Hotel Olympus is home to individuals who value the convenience and style of downtown living along with the comfort and dependability of a professionally managed community. If the lively city life-style is what you prefer, then you will be delighted by the variety of shops and restaurants just outside your door, the convenience of the theaters, the library, the UW Tacoma campus, museums, galleries, and many other attractions just blocks away. If privacy is more your style, then you can relax in the comfort of your own apartment home with family, friends, or a good book. Whatever your preference, you'll love coming home to Hotel Olympus Apartments.

Most unpleasant commenter in the Tacoma blogosphere.

I didn't think they cared

From Exit133:

Crenshaw has to be the most unpleasant commenter in the Tacoma blogosphere.

Didn't the Chamber of Commerce recently give out awards in this category recently.  Somehow I seemed to have missed the awards dinner. Maybe I can pick it up at the highly anticipated Big Whisky Saloon, managed by Paul Muller, formerly of McCabe’s American Music Cafe.  We all have fond memories of McCabe's and hope he brings the McCabe's spirt to Big Whisky Saloon.

Removing the Curse from Tacoma

now is the time

Tacoma makes the national news far too often.  I've been in this town for nearly 30 years and I can not believe how many times Tacoma is the leading story on the national news.  Like Jen Graves I believe the city is cursed.  I know what lead to the curse, it was the renaming of Mt. Tahoma to Mt. Rainier.  We need to get the name changed back and pronto.  We can not wait, this is not the time for debate.  Change the name back to Mt. Tahoma and the curse will be lifted.

Mecca in foreclosure?

No soup for You!!

I am hearing from a reliable source that the Mecca is in foreclosure.  No big surprise here but another blow to the once illustrious Gintz Group.  The Mecca was bad luck for Judge Hecht and it seems that the bad luck continues for the Gintz Group.

Now More than Ever

In your heart you know he's right

With two open seats on the City Council to be filled, I can think of no finer person to represent the people of Tacoma on the City Council.  Tacoma, time to move onto the next level.  The city is beyond red alert, we are seriously Code Blue.

I've changed my mind

what was I thinking?

I liked it much better when the Volcano was going out of business and we didn't get spewed all over the place on feedtacoma.
