CREDO Action "End of Bush" Party

Be the Change You Want to See

END OF BUSH / BE THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE PARTY

We will be meeting at the Mad Hat Tea Company, 1130 S Commerce from 2 - 4 pm (or later?), Sunday, November 23rd.  Location is accessible.  No pets, please.

Mad Hat is located on Commerce between S 11th and S 13th.  It is accessible from Commerce.  Not sure if the back door off Broadway will be open on a Sunday.  Since there‚Äôs not a lot of parking, consider taking the Link Light Rail from the Tacoma Dome parking lot.  Get off at the Convention Center stop and walk two blocks north.

Come and celebrate the opportunity for change that is coming to our country and world.  Yes, we can do a happy dance for the end of the Bush years, but let's put a positive face on this party.  I see this as a chance to network with other community activists.  Bring your brochures, business cards, etc. and tell us what you are doing or planning to do to help change our country and our world.

Drop in!  Buy a cup of tea!  And get energized!  (No charge, but please buy something or make a donation for our hosts.  They are opening on Sunday to accommodate this gathering on short notice when the other plans fell through! CREDO will kick in $100 to get the ball rolling.)

About

I'm trying to find the folks who worked on this garden site in the past. I've met some at various events, but now I can't find them! Or the owner of the property.

As I understood it, the issue that stopped the garden was a broken water pipe. I have a solution to that. What I'd need to make this happen would be permission to do it from the owner, a few people who could help dig some trenches, and someone to agree to take responsibility for the water account. (That wouldn't mean they would have to pay it themselves, necessarily, but TPU will need someone to open the account, probably the owner of the property.)

I have lots of seeds, too, that I'd like to see planted this season since they were generously donated. I am also willing to work some on the garden, but I'm still in the process of purchasing the property on S J St. so won't have a lot of time.

So if you want to be part of this lovely garden site again, or for the first time, and can put me in touch with the owner, etc., please email me at pmenzies48@gmail.com.
