The Melon Interviews: Life of Elle

In our sponsorship of the 22nd Frost Park Chalk Offs, The Melon vowed to film an exclusive interview with the winner. That sunny Friday, when the chalk-dust cleared, one woman stood strong. A woman who only needs a monosyllabic name and paintbrush power to claim victory.

The Melon proudly presents our exclusive interview with the 22nd Best Artist in the Universe of Tacoma, Lisa "Elle" Lindholm.

I would imagine the Tacoma Urbanist would describe as hard-hitting. Elliot's liberal bias was gross however.

Great interview!

Electronic Elliot showed off his well honed interview skills and gets to the heart of the world of Elle.

A timeless Frost Park Chalk Off classic. They both look great with nice backgrounds for filming.

Key interview moments:

5:43 : Elle fires off political zingers. Elle states who she will vote for.

6:13 : Elle explains her etiquette rules.

Then Electric Elliot heats the interview up by quoting her bio back to her:

8:53 : Elle explains "chipped nail polish" and "spandex is a privilege, not a right."

10:11 Electric Elliot pushes spandex, Elle holds her own.

10:49 : Elle hates "political correctness"

11:37 : Elle's gives her personal message to the world.

I'm just happy I didn't come off as a fool. I have the tendency to do that. And why in the world does that photo of me always come back to haunt me?

well rounded political correctness?

Its a good photo of you Elle taken by Tacomachickadee who was trying to find an X men type photo shot. She did pretty well.

There another good one though shown on the video.

Perfection! Outstanding work by both, and a beautiful vid. Vim. (Whatever.) Refreshingly honest and hilarious. More, please.

Oh - I also thought it was cool that mom ELLE now won episode 22, palindromically-speaking.

Update:

Today, Elle "dishes" about Frost Park, the Golden Melon and her interview in the Life of Elle:

Later in my Freshman year one of my friends gave me the nickname DATM. DATMAWIC was the long version. It means Draw Attention To Myself Any Way I Can. And it is so true. Have you noticed? You hadn’t? You need to pay better attention (to me).

This spring I started participating in the weekly Chalk-offs in Frost Park. Some weeks I whored for votes on my own site and others I simply didn’t participate. I’ve now won 3 times. The first time I won a pizza from a local pizza joint. The second is called the “lost episode” because there was no sponsor prize. Then, on September 5th I won again. I wasn’t even planning on participating that week, but Joel decided he was going and I couldn’t let him go all alone. I wasn’t feeling well that day and almost bagged the whole thing. But I went and I won, without campaigning for a single vote.

What was my prize? First, a gigantic watermelon that was painted gold. I’m told it was delicious, but I don’t eat watermelon so I can neither confirm nor deny that claim. But the bigger prize was an “exclusive” interview with Electric Elliot from The Melon. Of course shortly after winning our house became a giant construction zone so I busted my ass to fix things so he could tape the interview.

Last Thursday he showed up to do the filming. Lucky for the viewers I actually showered that day, and applied lipstick. Crazy, I know. I got the email this morning that the video was done and was going to be shown to the world today. In the spirit of drawing attention to myself any way I can here is the “exclusive” interview.
