Community members lined up to help paint. The red paint works great.

by izenmania on 6/9/2009 @ 8:15am | That is good. The new location was so non-descript... if not for the stack of bikes outside I would have ridden right by it during the Bike To Work Week event there a few weeks ago. |
by morgan on 6/9/2009 @ 9:21am | Nice!
Good to see the old sign back up. I wish I knew a neon artist who could light it up! |

Yep. Compared to the stand along building, you are right. That's why the red paint really works well. As for the sign, it would be cool for them to get neon or at least light it up. One step at a time. The adjacent place is being fixed up, Ideal for something. |
by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 6/9/2009 @ 11:30am | They will have some neighbors soon in the old Republican Headquarters, seems to be some sort of natural health provider if my memory of the business license in the window doesn't fail me. The took they license down quickly but the windows are covered and something is afoot. Now if only a Phở place would move in next door to Blackwater. |

YES! I cannot believe there is no pho downtown! |
by NineInchNachos on 6/9/2009 @ 4:40pm | Mo Pho from the Hood |
by Thorax O'Tool on 6/9/2009 @ 10:30pm | "Mo Pho from the Hood" Interesting, as I've more than once mentioned that Pho is the "unofficial" signature dish of Tacoma. So, I'm picturing an edgy urban styled Pho in like an abandoned warehouse or something in downtown with minimal changes to the decor. I absolutely would eat there! Here's a slogan for them... Mo Pho from the Hood: Urban. Industrial. Real. |
by thriceallamerican on 6/10/2009 @ 9:41am | So...haven't seen it mentioned anywhere, but there's been a ton of work going on in the old BW space, anyone know what's going in? |

I had thought that an art studio was going to go in there. We will see. |
