Dave L. Cleans Frost Park for Friday Chalking

Tonight, Dave L. cleaned the Frost Park "canvasses" so that the Frost Park challengers could have a clean chalking area this Friday.

Nice work Dave L.  Thanks.

Perhaps someone else will volunteer to clean up Frost Park for the next Chalk Off Episode?

Thanks a ton, Dave! I'm going to be gone next week but will volunteer to clean up pre 4th of July!

Speaking of which, I'm sure that'll be a holiday for most but what if we found a spot along Ruston and moved it down there for all to see and enjoy? I could chat with the Tacoma Events Commission to see if there's a place they won't have vendors that they might appreciate this being done. Either that or there are some good sidewalks in Old Town. Thoughts?

The Stowe family would be happy to clean up next week.

As someone who doesn't get the chance to see the art on Friday, I'd ask if you didn't clean it up until late in teh weekend?! Maybe? I really liked walking through Frost Park last week on Sunday and seeing all the art (including the snake from Ep. IX)

But then again, it's a volunteer clean-up crew. So clean when you can!

Wow Dave- that's incredible- thanks! All without a stinky 2-stroke power washer too. The BIA should take note.

We could balance out the prizes by making each week's winner scrub it down...

EYE OF THE FROST PARK TIGER

Risin' up---back on the street, did my time, took my chances.
Went the distance now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to scrub Frost Park Chalk Challenge walls---
It's the Eye of the Frost Park Tiger, it's the thrill of the Scrub,
Risin' up to the challenge of the chalked walls.
And the well known survivor of the Frost Park Chalk Challenge stalks his art in the night,
And he's watchin' us all with the Eye of the Frost Park Tiger.

Don't think you're gonna win, just cause you won brownie points with the group. Ahh, just kidding, man. That is really awesome. Hear, hear for Dave!!!

Argh, I meant to be there! Had to go back and work on some stuff. Thought I could put it off until ll:30 this Friday. On one hand I'm grateful to Dave for cleaning all that up. On the other hand - I wanted to help!

Thanks so much Dave L.!

LOL! - I'm off-line for a day, and someone puts me on the internets! And I was FORCED to pose! (Employee logo on free jacket thankfully not visible.) It was convenient for me to stop by to scrub. Erik met there and actually did his own share of splashing, but like everything else, doesn't take any of the credit. (When is he going to be on the cover art or trading card?) The canvases are about 95% clean. (I won't tell you how unpleasant it was scrubbing Lance's... Oh, never mind.) I should try to make Friday to take dawntown's suggestion of riding the cleaning wave for extra votes. I'm glad the cleaning part is developing into a social event in itself! Nice company afterwards, Erik and Adam. Glad to do it, and thanks for the nice thoughts, words, and lyrics. (Dang, I'm missing Artwalk, aren't I?)

Here's a cleaning picture of Frost Park from Dave L. from 7/16/2008. Looks like some extra helpers arrived.
