Entire TV Tacoma Service Now Available via Streaming Video Online
TV Tacoma is "TV Tacoma is the City 's 24-hour government information channel."
They also offer stored episode of Tacoma city Council meetings online as well as other programs. Many which repeat.Now, however, TV Tacoma will also offer all of their shows streaming online live as they are shown.

During
January there are two episodes of Across the Fence, where we feature
the eight Tacoma neighborhood councils. It is a “year of
accomplishments” as told by participating members representing each
council, providing us with their own neighborhood insight. Each
episode features four neighborhood councils:
Northeast, North End, South Tacoma, and Central Councils airs: January 1-7 & 15-22.
West End, South End, New Tacoma, and Eastside Neighborhood Councils airs: January 8-14 & 23-31.

Tacoma Police Department is looking for qualified individuals to become
members of the department. We’ll show you what’s needed in order to
become a law enforcement officer. Then we’ll meet the new Emergency
Coordinator for the Tacoma Fire Department. That’s all this month on

historic Rialto Theater. Some great entertainment will be taking place
here through out the month of December. On this months show we’ll find
out why the City of Tacoma is involved with preserving a section of
open space in Northeast Tacoma. Then we’ll learn about a new program
aimed at helping people purchase vehicles so they can become
contributing members of the work force. We’ll also watch as a special
memorial is dedicated, and Tacoma Power has some holiday safety tips.

I downloaded the player but could not get it to open when I clicked on the link. Any suggestions that does not involve modifying the registry on my computer. |

Thanks. I got it to work for the streaming TV Tacoma but not for the saved council segments. |
by NineInchNachos on 1/10/2008 @ 8:49am | I believe the saved segments are housed as RealPlayer files by TV tacoma. This is unfortunate as RealPLayer is evil and can only be played by the RealPlayer Player which you should never install as it is mostly spyware.
The cool thing about VLC is you can save the steaming video, or record it, into a file that you could turn around and upload to the internets for propaganda purposes |
