First Timers Storm Frost Park Event: COB, TNT, RGC
Great sunny weather and trying to figure out the names of newcomers characterized the third Frost Park "takeover" event.
(Too many new people to name. Please post if you know who they are. Most look "familiar" around downtown though)
At a particular time, I counted 30 people there. There were probably 40 people who showed up at one time or another.
Patricia, who heads the Downtown Merchant Group made a dramatic entrance with her pick scooter she parked on 9th and ripped off her matching pick helmet:

It looks as if she has some sort of designer coat as well.
Grit City's Cole Cosgrove took a break from his investigative reporting from the Tribune's Grit City to join the group.
Cole had been invited by a number of downtown regulars after Cole had indicated that he was having a difficult time obtaining "content" for another Grit City feature piece while isolated at the remote Tribune headquarters when he wrote:
Kelly and Laura and I are e-mailing each other, and we keep saying the same thing: We want to post something, but we don't have anything to write about. Maybe we're just lazy. Maybe we need Niki to come back from Olympia. We can only hope that the trip downtown helped him come up with some material. Content is still king, Cole.
A visitor and employee from the City of Tacoma added some good insights and gave the group temporary immunity from any adverse action by the city while the group lunched in the Park.
"Ryan" from Rusty George Creative graced the group with his presence ready to bury the hatchet with RR Anderson. Alternatively, there was an outlying chance they could have challenged each other to some sort of computer coding contest. Unfortunately, RR failed to appear. There's always next week.
There were alot of other new people including Daniel Blue who was flanked by a cadre of poets-in-training and a slew of other folks.
Next Week
Fashion
Julie Bennett owner of Urban Xchange has promised to join us on Friday 3/28.
Given her profession and extensive inventory, she may be able to give fashion tips. She has no doubt clothed a good portion of Tacoma's hipsters. Perhaps she can study the pictures of Frost Park group from the prior Fridays and have some ready suggestions.
(She promises she will make you fashionable)
Food
Perhaps some people might be interested in ordering out and having something delivered like Puget Sound Pizza.
See everyone next week.
