Super cheap prices BTW. Douglas firs starting at $16. I picked up a tree for my condo for $12.

Holiday bonfires! Best use of Tollefson Plaza EVER!

We'll be picking up our tree from them next weekend. Very good prices on Nobles.

Now on the BIA blog:

Tollefson Plaza, normally a treeless expanse in the heart of downtown comes to life this winter thanks to the Two Five Trees tree lot. The tree lot is made possible through collaboration between Go Local, Downtown Merchants Group, the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber and various city departments.

Two Five Trees opened for business last Friday and will sell trees through the end of the season.

I wouldn't call it "hyperlocal" unless the trees were grown and chopped down along the Prairie Line...

Would the Luzon Building count?

has anyone heard back if trees are OK on the link?

by Erik on 11/30/2009 @ 8:56pm
Hmm. All one can do is try. Especially if the trees have twine around them.

It is better to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

Thank you Justin. My wife and I had a great experience purchasing our tree last night - the only thing missing was some street buskers, maybe some hot cocoa and a bit of snow (though the light rain provided reasonable ambience). Great trees at a good price sold with enthusiasm. Welcome Yule!

Did buying a Christmas tree in Tollefson give you any new (re) design ideas there David?

You know, last Saturday a friend and I ate dinner at El Toro in downtown. You know what we saw on the way back to the car? A dude playing Christmas Carols on his sax, right there on the sidewalk on Broadway.

We need more of that.

I decided to go with a fake tree I got at Goodwill. You can't beat $3.99 and no needles to clean up.
