Interview with Tacoma's Urban Exchange Owner Julie Bennett

As a Thanksgiving Special, we link to an interview from In-Tacoma.net with Julie Bennett.

Please click over to read the whole interview.  However, here is a portion:

Julie Julie Julie, so what do you think…. how is downtown Tacoma working out for your business UrbanXchange?

I love the community and wish people would stop going to the mall but till there’s more retail downtown I have to peddle twice as fast in the marketing dept!
...

What are three words to describe people that shop at UrbanXchange

diverse, thrifty, non-traditional.

(Julie swears she will make you fashionable)

Fashion, smashion. In my years I've learned that the guy in the mullet and acid-washed jeans looks just as goofy as the "cutting edge" lady wearing tomorrow's fashions she found in a new mag that nobody else will heed for a year and a half.

Too slow? You're outdated. With the mainstream? Yawn. Too progressive? Time to move to NY where you can be better understood by your peers.

How is a fashion-conscious person supposed to know when to move toward new fashion?
