Lupin Goddess Triumphs in Out In Tacoma Chalk Off
I have just spoken to Robin at the Out in Tacoma event.
Here are some pictures below from RR Anderson:

Congratulations Andrea!
Andrea's Growing El Gaucho Prizes
Andrea prevailed Episode X where she obtained a certificate for $75 at El Gaucho. Now she collected an additional $100 totaling $175. Thus, Andrea and her husband have enough now to eat like royalty and each order the Fillet Mignon, Banana Foster and a slew of drinks. Dang.

Sounds like the Out in Tacoma event was successful generally as well.
by UnstableArt on 7/12/2008 @ 7:23pm | Well damn. Despite a bit of confusion in connecting today (which I'm sure Laura can tell you all about when she called and I mistook her for my husband!) I'm glad I was able to make it down in time. Thank you Dawn for the lift and for dropping my heat stroke-suffering butt back home! That was some arduous work, I'm sure all the chalkies could agree. I was dripping some considerable sweat into my Valkyrie - I'm glad the colors didn't muddy! It was very exciting to see all of you out there and I sincerely hope that it won't be the last time we see you. I personally thank Erik for helping me pull this off - your artwork and talent added the feel we were looking for in expanding events and activities at Out in the Park. Andrea, what can I say? The voters have spoken. There were some awesome drawings on Thompson Avenue and I'm just glad that you left your positive mark in the neighborhood.
Thank you artists!!! Look forward to another year next year! Robin McKinney Treasurer Out in Tacoma |
by Dianne on 7/14/2008 @ 12:14am | So this lady stops and is watching Jeremy draw. She looks at me and says "I'm just watching. He doesn't mind does he?" Hmmm. Let me think. Artist creating art in public. I'm thinking the answer is no he doesn't mind being watched. People are funny sometimes. I decided to jump in and draw something because in the beginning there were only a couple of people. I didn't want people to try something like this for the first time and not have people show up to do it. So apparently I am now strangely compelled to support local neighborhood art. Especially since it is my neighborhood. Here are my pictures: www.flickr.com/photos/28557978@N02/?save... I hope this is the right way to link to them. |
