Murano Dipper Glass Here, Almost Unveiled
Here's how the art piece looked at about 2:45 p.m.

Almost there.
Who can get the first reveal picture?

by KevinFreitas on 2/20/2008 @ 3:49pm | Did someone mention the glass was installed? Passing by yesterday I saw the scaffolding up but no glass at all. Seems like the sheets are prep for installing the glass and to also keep it from being seen. |

It looks like something is there. The scaffording covers a huge area. I had assumed the glass was in there. Hmmmm. A mystery for now. |

With the Luzon, South Parking Garage, and the Ford Building being renovated, that area of town is going to be pickup up. I used to cross the street to go to (drip) coffee to the Sheraton for 7 years when it was a three lane one way street there with no traffic calming or light at Broadway and 13th. Scary. Certainly nice to walk past there now. BTW BellCaptain, what is the Murano plans for the mini cement convention center you have in back? Are you going to knock it down or renovate it? |
by Jim @ PSP on 2/23/2008 @ 9:49am | Cool addition for public art, way better than the old Sheraton logo. |
by Erik on 2/23/2008 @ 10:38am | Cool addition for public art, way better than the old Sheraton logo. I think so too gauging from the other pieces the artist has constructed. i.feedtacoma.com/Erik/city-make-110000-g... ![]() |
