Commentary:
What fun packages of prizes.  I like the idea of having a substantial second prize.  Ideally, there would be something for the first, second and third place winner.

Everyone has the open invitation to add whatever additional prizes that they wish whether it be for the winner, top two or three contestants, losers or a participatory prize to make the Frost Park Chalk Off events more interesting and creative.  Ultimately, Frost Park will be what we make it.

Stowe and Hathaway have simply volunteered additional prizes in prior episodes.  Perhaps someone will throw in a few coupons for $20 for chalk for the top three contestants?

There has been increasing interest in having a children's category as well.

Another possibility is to have a separate category for the best challenger who has never prevailed before.  Endless possibilities for anyone with the creative inclination.

Crap, a prize that I actually want... and no awesome prize-winning ideas. Curses!

I couldn't have put it better myself.

The Frost Park prize vault just keeps getting bigger.

Is it wrong to say I want to shoot for second? But alas, I have no awesome ideas either.

Maybe you guys could take inspiration from the prizes. Movie characters and musicians? It worked well for Andrea when she did her Indiana Jones/Adam the Alien portrait.

I have so many ideas I don't know what to do with them all. Though my next chalk art will be a fawning puffery tribute to David Seago.

I believe my son has requested a collaborative team-up with his old man this week... so I am going to let him come up with the idea and sketch the thing out. We are a shoe in for the non-existent child category no-prize!

Anyway, these are amazing! prizes...wish i had the talent to compete for them!
Artists! Get your inspiration tonight at art walk: The Helm gallery on St. Helens is hosting an amazing contemporary art show and I am quickly getting addicted to the cool scene at The Fulcrum Gallery on MLK. Feels more like Soho then hilltop....go tacoma.

Andrew Fry (aka Droid16) is breaking it down for us in micro-blogged story format over at Quillpill.

(Quillpill's still in beta, so their interface is a bit clunky...note that it only shows 10 bits at once, so you will need to use the "next" button to navigate the full story.)

(Huh???)

An unexpected burst of laughter causes a now-blushing Dave L. to spray coffee through his nose all over his keyboard.

Also another week without a decent idea, but it's true, the audio/video/recording-technology angle has possibilities if I could only think of one and free myself up tomorrow.

since the listserv is down for the count, I've created a light bodied craigslist posting...

I figure pictures speak louder than words.

Go Team Sausage Party!

I don't care how it sounds... Team Sausage Party is the party for me. I can only hope there will be a Red Hot weiner barker passing dogs out to weary chalk artists. On that day my dreams will have come true.

GO TEAM SAUSAGE PARTY!
