Seattle PI Reports on First Night via Tacoma Blogosphere

Given the emerging visibility of the Tacoma Blogosphere, it was only a matter of time before regional media sources began using it as a source of information.  Today, the Seattle PI writes about Tacoma's First Night:

Some of my bloggy mom friends in Tacoma have told me about a family New Year's event. It's called "First Night", and it sounds like a great time.

The "First Night Button" gets you into the Washington State History Museum and Museum of Glass all day, and the Children's Museum of Tacoma from 5 to 7. Then there's a whole evening of live entertainment beginning with a parade at 7:00, and ending with a fireworks show at midnight. This year is "The Year of the Pirate," so everyone is invited to come in pirate gear, be silly, and say "Arrr!" a lot. :) (Piratey themes are always fun IMHO.)

Anyway just wanted to give my Tacoma friends a holler as well as tell more northerners about the festivities.

Tacoma First Night is looking pretty good.

Although I am somewhat disappointed by the "wildcard" designation--this is a major event!
