Straight Talk From Tacomammamma In City Arts Mag.
The Tacoma Straight Talk Express:
Jen from Tacomamamma.com has been featured in countless media articles. Her short but potent quote is featured in this month's Tacoma City Arts Magazine. For the quote alone, the magazine is worth checking out. Yet there are other great articles this month as well.
Its difficult to know what different motivations people have for their blog or actions in general. Here's a similar question to Jen and her response:
QUESTIONS FOR JENNIFER BOUTELL
Author of www.tacomamamma.com a "locally-grown" city guide containing postings on "361 Good Days in Tacoma."
[Q:] How did the whole "Good Days" thing get started?
[A:] Around the time of the shooting at Foss High, I was getting tired of arguing with people from Seattle about the "worthless ghetto" we live in. I decided to take that energy and put it into something positive.
Commentary
Watching Jen's popularity rise in the Tacoma blogosphere, other media and seeing her in action around Tacoma is pretty amazing. She is completely dedicated in both the virtual and non-virtual worlds to making Tacoma a better city.
Of course, one need to have only interpreted web designer RR Anderson's graphical representation of Jen's Tacomamamma influence in the Tacoma media landscape and blogosphere.
Tacomic by RR Anderson. Here, RR presents a detailed marketshare prognosis report of the Tacoma blogosphere camouflaged as a satirical Tacomic.

Artist Sacrifices Herself on Lupin's Art
Jen from Tacomamamma also caught this scene of Dawn metaphorically falling on her artistic sword at the end of Episode V Frost Park Chalk Off by sacrificing herself to Lupin's winning art submission.
