Tacoma City Council Election Results
Strickland, Manthou, and Walker win election
The results are in. We have new leaders in Tacoma who will soon take their place of governance in the Tacoma City Council
Interestingly, none of the races were very close. The numbers will change a bit, but none of them enough to make a difference.
Here are the latest results:
City of Tacoma Council District No. 3
P - Julie Anderson --- 13,833 --- 79.01%
NP - Will Baker --- 3,566 --- 20.37%
City of Tacoma Council District No. 3
NP - Marilyn Strickland 10,839 60.75%
NP - David Curry 6,914 38.75%
City of Tacoma Council District No. 1
NP - Spiro Manthou 3,252 60.28%
NP - Harold G. Moss 2,129 39.46%
City of Tacoma Council District No. 3
NP - Lauren Walker 1,898 73.62%
NP - Ronnie Allen Warren 656 25.45%
Congratulations to the winners as well to all of the candidates who were willing to throw their hat into the ring. Take time to relax after your hard earned victory.
As you know, there is much work ahead in the effort to rebuilt Tacoma. You now have a mere 8 weeks left to prepare for the task of reconstructing the depopulated center of the city as well as other areas throughout the city:
