Tacoma's Funnyman RR Anderson Sketches 100th Tacomic

Tacoma's Funnyman/Political Commentator

Each and ever week for nearly a year, RR Anderson has entertained Tacoma with his Tacomic which are published each week on Feed Tacoma online and the Weekly Volcano in print.

They have ranged from the obscure to biting commentary on Tacoma politics.  Despite having a new child, working full time, being censored, battling in Frost Park and becoming injured, RR Anderson has produced a Tacomic for Tacomans FOR FREE each and every week.  (Except 1)

CONGRATULATIONS RR.  Thanks for the fun every Tuesday morning.

Yeah. The book will be cool.

Plus, we need another Tacomic party. Now!

Theater guru Hanburg weighs in:

RR Anderson posted his 100th Tacomic on FeedTacoma today. His illustrations have been at times crass, lewd, and disturbing. But don't hold that against him, because even when they're those things they're very always funny.

RR Anderson comments on this day through the art list serve (for those not ont he email list)

Dear Tacoma (wherever you are),

For years I have struggled against THE CONSPIRACY to bring you TRUTH and JUSTICE delivered via internet(s) [and now in the weekly volcano] every Tuesday morning in agreeable flavors, known by the cryptic industry term "CARTOONs"--coined sometime in the early 17th century by artists long dead.

It is with great triumph that I announce my 100th hand-drawn cartoon.

if you are unfortunate enough to click on the 'discussion' link for this cartoon, please ignore any comments by the avatar 'in-tacoma'....

Avid Thanks,

- RR

Some of us are not as easily amused. I have now fezzed-up and will be tracking down said 'artist' for definition of community charachter(s). So beware, Mr. Anderson, of the amazing power of the fleshy orb.

Were you on some sort of 12 step program for bloggers, Erik?

by NineInchNachos on 2/3/2009 @ 11:39pm
Erik's been living in the heart break hotel. It's good to see him back on the saddle.

Thanks. And tonight is showtime for urbanism before planning commission. If approved, downtown Tacoma has a chance to actually start functioning like a city.

Does your TV show cover planing commission hearings?

@RR: This saddle, or that saddle?
Erik, we and the internets are happy upon your return. The Feed isn't the same without your instigation and Flickr.

And hey, go local next time.

Thanks. Hopefully, myspace does not suck the life out of Feed Tacoma. We will see.
