Urbanist Reloads: Upgrades Camera Cell Phone

Between my flickr account and pictures on the Urbanist, my pictures seem to get alot of views.  Flickr alone shows 12,649 all time view counts.

My Samsung A950 was taking some pretty good pictures once I figured out how to increase the resolution. During Christmas break in California, it gave out and I replaced my phone in haste with a LG VX5400.  Nice fast phone but the pictures were pretty brutish.  Only after I bought it did I check out the camera function which was limited to low resolution (640x480) and rated poorly for taking pictures.

Thus, in the spirit of contributing to the high standards of Feed Tacoma, I upgraded to a LG VX8300 which was rated pretty well for pictures.  It has a maximum resolution of 1280 x 960 and pictures have a memory requirement of about 215k.

Here's what I got in the mail today.  New phone in a box.  New to me at least.

There it is.  From a 99.9 positively rated seller on Ebay.

Here the first picture I have taken with my new phone.  We will see how it does with cappuccion foam and surface level parking lots.

If you really want to get crazy with the photos- here's a Nikon with built-in wireless allowing you to upload your extremely overkill hi-pics straight to your website. Someday I hope to have an excuse to get this camera:

That's pretty easy to set up. I have my cell phone set to send it directly to my Flicker account.
