I awoke this morning to a cool mist washing me clean, that mist soon turned into a cleansing shower. Oh rain, I will not complain that you have returned you have been gone for nearly 30 days, and I have missed you. While those guys do a nice job with their buckets and brushes, you, sweet rain, you cleanse me in ways no human can.Rain you may stay all day, it quite alright, but I'd like to have the sun kiss my face for a little while in the midday. If you don't mind that is, I know the chalkies who decorate my surfaces don't mind a little rain. It always makes for interesting creations.
Those crazy artist professional and amateur will again descend to my tiered terraces today Friday, June 19th, 2009 from noon - 1PM at S 9th and Pacific Ave.
Then once they are done someone or someones will post some pictures upon which the WORLD will vote for their favorite and bestow luscious, hot, delicious pizza upon the victor.
But don't vote here on this blog, my dear readers, for I am just a park and a location where the fun takes place. The voting and smack talk happens here.

Frost Park CC: Season 2 Episode 11
It was a cloudy morning in the City of Destiny. I awoke this morning to find a light dew on the grasses of my miniature terraces. The fountain is still dry, but that's OK, I won't cry because there will be chalk today. Glorious chalk. Once again, my walls and sidewalks will be adorned with the colorful doodling of imaginative people. What will it be this week? Perhaps He-man and She-ra will battle it out. Or maybe an alien invasion will descend and take a chalkie away. Who knows the possibilities are endless. One thing is certain, there will be chalk.

Oh my, what a beautiful morning. What a beautiful sunrise, I wish I had the view of my neighbor down the street (Fireman's Park), but It was a nice peekaboo view of the sunrise down Soouth 9th street.I don't know what's going on because I asked for a bath, but I've still got chalk on my walls, I guess those "Chalkies" are going to have to get creative today if they want to use my vertical surfaces. The sprinklers did a pretty good job cleaning off my sidewalks though.
The heat is finally subsided and today looks to be a pleasant 75-degrees predicted for a high today. A pretty perfect day to come and hang out on my steps and maybe pick up some free chalk and sketch on my sidewalks. I mean seriously, if it wasn't for those CLAW guys Ben's egg totally would have won last week.
But you're not reading this to discuss last week are you? No... You want this week...
OK, this week's entry about the Chalk Off is over on Tacoma Urbanist's blog. Remember to use the word VOTE in your comment when voting.
Hope to see you today at Noon. I'm located in downtown Tacoma at S 9th and Pacific Ave.

I need a bath!!
Hello Tacoma,
It's been hot this weekend, and someone fried an egg on my sidewalk but left it there to fester.
I heard some folks walking by today say that the weather is supposed to hold until the weekend with rain expected on Monday, so would a few of you be willing to come out this week and give my sidewalk and walls a scrubbing so you all can cover them with chalk again this week?
I'd appreciate it. I know that Joel guy who work in Seattle often drives by around 5:15 or so. How about some of the others, maybe that one guy with a key to the spigot, the one with the face that's slick as an onion? You know the one right? Or how about that other guy with the worn down brush, he always does an awesome job of getting the Prang off. Man that stuff leaves a mark.
So? Who's stepping up this week?
