Bike Map for Doug

I don't have your contact info, but I have an extra bike map for you. Riding with you last weekend was fun. We have a few pics from the ride that may get posted eventually.

Oh! and I got this via e-mail today:

To Bike Map Distribution List:

The number of locations where you may pick up a free copy of the new bike map has been expanded to nearly 100 sites, including multiple locations in King and Thurston counties.  Please check the Bike Map web page below for the location closest to you.

www.piercecountywa.org/bikemap

Even though we will continue to update this list of pickup locations, the bulk of our deliveries have been completed.  We will now focus our efforts on working on the online version of the new bike map.  We will notify you again when the online version is available on the web page in a user-friendly printing format.

I'm unfortunately busy filming the next two weekends. If anybody's up for a shorter, after-work ride next week I'd totally be for it, though. This week is out due to my current poor respiratory health.

Did you guys actually go across the bridge last week, or is that still a fresh option?

For the months of July and August, Five Mile Drive is closed off to vehicles on Sundays, as well as Saturdays, until 1pm. The only nuisance is walkers who have to walk side by side, five across the road. Other than that, it's nice to ride without vehicles around.

It is quite lovely to ride, even with vehicles around. We did FMD as our first f>>t group ride, and I'm sure we will do it again at some point. Maybe next time Kevin and I will need fewer lookout-point breaks.

About

Hello! I'm Heather and I'm a bit manic about Tacoma.

I'll probably be blogging about my experiences in Tacoma as they relate to the environment (natural and built), social (in)justice, community building, economic development, bio-diesel, public transit, biking, gardening, home improvement, food & wine, and my little family (me, my fiance, one dog, one cat). This is my first attempt at writing a blog - so please bear with me.

JUNE UPDATE: I am now managing the Tacoma Farmers Market on 6th Ave. Until the market opens on July 15, I will be extraordinarily busy and not blogging much - if at all. I'll miss it. If you want to contact me about the market, you can send a message to 6thAve@tacomafarmersmarket.com
