by justagirl on 5/22/2008 @ 2:43pm | I don't believe Stowe is TacomaPapa, or PapaTacoma for that matter. |

by Erik on 5/22/2008 @ 2:56pm | Wow. Nice start. Good references and many of them are right. Here's where the Wikipedia method of editing would be useful.
Don't try to decode RR completely all in one day or it might give you a migraine. But you have a good start there as well but a long ways to go. |

by Mofo from the Hood on 5/22/2008 @ 2:58pm | Girls can be stupid, but they're sure a lot of fun. |

by izenmania on 5/22/2008 @ 3:00pm | You can also call me Joe. Because it is my name. And my dad's f>>t screen name is Dmitri. |

by jenyum on 5/22/2008 @ 4:01pm | Not everyone necessarily wants their screen name and their real life person put together this way. There are numerous people around these parts who work for various orgs that would not appreciate the connection.
I don't mind, personally, as long as my last name's not there. |

by intacoma on 5/22/2008 @ 4:07pm | Loose lips sink ships. |

by Heather on 5/22/2008 @ 4:28pm | I am not posting anything that has not already been posted -- since I have not met any of you in person or exchanged personal messages. I am just working from past and present posts, and names purposely linked on Exit 133 to blogs, which I assume are public information. I'm not trying to out anybody, just keep everyone straight. If you don't have your name or an alter ego posted on your blog or on the chalk art blogs, you have no need to worry. For instance, intacoma, your blog is completely anonymous, you have not chalked in the name of intacoma or had your picture posted as intacoma. The only last names listed are listed many, many times on Exit 133 and Feed Tacoma. I don't think Kevin or Stowe are trying to hide their identity. I'll remove the papa assumption right away. It was all the kids running around at the last chalk competition that mixed me up. My bad. |

by KevinFreitas on 5/22/2008 @ 4:33pm | Ah! How do you people know who I am?! ;) I understand what you're getting at Heather and it makes sense. Thanks for filling folks in and helping keep all the usual suspects straight. |

by Heather on 5/22/2008 @ 4:40pm | MoFo, you drive me crazy. But I still like you. Kind of like my ex-husband. He thought I was stupid, too. |

by intacoma on 5/22/2008 @ 4:55pm | My name may or may not start with a B, I'm just saying I would hate to see tanyas friend show up while your ice skating, ;) |

by Mofo from the Hood on 5/22/2008 @ 5:01pm | I don't know if you're stupid, but if you're a woman then you could sure be a lot of fun. |

by ensie on 5/22/2008 @ 5:04pm | I like how Frinklin is just...Frinklin.
I've had my picture put out there, but only becuase I hang out with someone who never puts his goddamn camera down (I love you Kevin).
I definitely don't want the whole world to know my real name though, because I blog about work and if my boss, and by extension my company, knew about some of the things I've written, problems could arise. I choose who to reveal this information to.
And Frinklin is my husband. |

by Mofo from the Hood on 5/22/2008 @ 5:04pm | My real name and real life aren't worthy of notice. |

by thriceallamerican on 5/22/2008 @ 5:09pm | I have no problem with my first name, which disappeared, reappearing...
Also somewhat happy to hear that I haven't been pigeonholed to a "favorite topic" (as of yet, at least). |

by Twisty on 5/22/2008 @ 6:09pm | |

by Twisty on 5/22/2008 @ 6:14pm | Hmm. I think I found a bug, Kevin. |

by jcbetty on 5/22/2008 @ 6:46pm | (I have no prob w/ people knowing JCBetty is Jess-- I think enough people know who I am and, well, who I am to where *absolute* anonymity is just kinda' unrealistic.)(and yet, yeah, some people do need to guard blog-dentity from other identity.. rather like our fave comic book heroes, no?) |

by NineInchNachos on 5/22/2008 @ 8:28pm | bug: comments can't handle the ampersand well |

by Twisty on 5/22/2008 @ 8:44pm | Nope, no ampersands. It was less-than signs -- three in a row. Would the strip_tags function trip up on that? |

by Adam the Alien on 5/22/2008 @ 9:35pm | I think the list would be less confusing if each entry was organized in the same manner. Right now, they're all pretty random.
Right now, I see entries organized in any of the following fashions: Username = Blog title Blog title = Username Username = Real name Username = Real name = Blog title Real name = Nickname = Site name Site name = comic name = professional name = username
...And so on and so forth. It's too hard to read, right now - too hard to decipher, because there's no organization or pattern.
Also, my real name is Adam J. Manley. I do not believe in anonymity...my primary blogging style is in the form of a video blog, after all. It would be really hard for me to be anonymous. Especially when I go and put my full name in the theme intro of every video. :-D Hehe.
Oh, and the Tacoma Gnome's identity isn't secret. His name is Gadsby Glasrud. He's never hidden his identity. |

by Heather on 5/22/2008 @ 9:51pm | Thanks Adam, I'll add your name and clean up the organization - just barely got started. Thought I'd add, subtract, and organize as I put together the pieces :)
Thanks, Jess, I realized that I gleaned your name from a post by someone else, so I removed it, just in case.
Thanks, Jamie, I thought I might have gotten your name from a private message and started feeling guilty.
Okay, ensie :) I don't think I know your name, and if I stumble on it, I'll keep it to myself!
MoFo @ 5:01 - More fun than most ;)
MoFo @ 5:04 - BS, I don't believe that
InTacoma - ummm. First, I'm impressed that you came up with the Tanya reference; I didn't think you were old enough. Second, I've had one beer too many to figure out the analogy. Are you calling me Nancy? I'm no Tanya, but I think I'd hang out with her before I'd hang out with Nancy. Either way, no one has anything to fear from me. Plus, if I had a beef with a person, I would not take it out on their friends. I just got pissy (defensive) with you because you assumed that I was trying to reveal secret identities, which I am not. Just trying to keep everyone straight in my mind and help out other newbies. I understand wanting privacy - if you notice, I've never used my fiance's name or any of my friend's names. Although tonight's bocce game shattered my feeble attempts to protect their privacy. I'm rambling. There should be some type of punishment for rambling in the comment section of your own blog, right?

by jcbetty on 5/22/2008 @ 9:52pm | ayeeeeeeeeeeeeee. (ears buzzing, head spinning. No, not drunk) --blog/tech/compu-speak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (meep.) |

by jcbetty on 5/22/2008 @ 10:17pm | heh. that was before reading Heather's post. Wishing I went to Bocce rather than wasting money in the name of the 'net.... |

by tacomachickadee on 5/22/2008 @ 10:23pm | Heather: You were at bocce tonight?!?!???! I was, err, near bocce. Cranky kids ... lost a balloon ... bonked head in the candy store ... kids played on the playground, eventually ... managed to not let them eat all the candy I bought at Johnson's. Looking forward to future bocce!
More on topic, I also like anonymity, especially via the Google, even if I may have been outed here and there if you do your research, even if sometimes by my own hand (via links).
Welcome to blogland! It's quite a ride ... |

by tacomachickadee on 5/22/2008 @ 10:24pm | @jcbetty We missed you! At bocce, and last night. Sigh. See you next Wednesday!!! (And maybe tomorrow!?!?!?) |

by Heather on 5/22/2008 @ 11:54pm | Yep, I was there. I wandered over to the playground to take a few pictures and then thought better of snapping shots of other people's kids... I'm learning.
My guy tied for second place :) and one of my very best friends won. Yay! We might not have a chance at chalk art, but watch out on the bocce court ;) |
