Somebody got a job!

Yep! It is me. I can't announce my new employer yet, but I bet you'll hear about it soon!

It all happened really quickly, because, unfortunately, someone became quite ill, and because, fortunately, Crenshaw Sepulveda rocks.

Oh, yah, and I rock, too!

I got a phone call just before 1pm today and started working around 3pm, after a brief interview. It is the perfect job for me. Just what I need and want. YAY!

To be continued...

Yay for Frinklin! I hope his first week on the new job is less hectic than mine!

I am the new market manager for the Tacoma Farmers Market on 6th Ave. The previous manager had a medical emergency and the TFM called me to step in, which I am happy to do.

Less than 3 weeks to opening day and LOTS of details to take care of. I may not sleep or blog before July 15, but I believe that the debut of a new market will be well worth the effort. We are getting so many exciting things lined up, I can't wait until I have time to share it all with you.

About

Hello! I'm Heather and I'm a bit manic about Tacoma.

I'll probably be blogging about my experiences in Tacoma as they relate to the environment (natural and built), social (in)justice, community building, economic development, bio-diesel, public transit, biking, gardening, home improvement, food & wine, and my little family (me, my husband, one dog, one cat). This is my first attempt at writing a blog - so please bear with me.
