We did it!
and we now have pictures to prove it!

Friday, August 22, at 10:00 a.m., Rick and I tied the knot in Wright Park. It was a wonderful, short ceremony, officiated by my dear friend, the Irreverend Janie. Our friends, Ann and Kyle, were there to witness, and we had a nice surprise from another friend, Derek, a visit from a professional photographer, Chip Van Gilder.
The weather was perfect and the park was beautiful.
Meeting Rick is the best thing that has ever happened to me. He is my best friend and the light in my life. I feel so lucky to be married to him.

We had breakfast at the Hob Nob and then headed east for the weekend. We saw Jack Johnson at the Gorge and did some bike riding and wine tasting in Walla Walla. It was a wonderful, albeit short, weekend trip. We really enjoyed the dry heat and sunshine. We are planning a real honeymoon in October, after the farmers market is finished, and a party later in the year, after the house remodel is complete.
About
Hello! I'm Heather and I'm a bit manic about Tacoma.
I'll probably be blogging about my experiences in Tacoma as they relate to the environment (natural and built), social (in)justice, community building, economic development, bio-diesel, public transit, biking, gardening, home improvement, food & wine, and my little family (me, my husband, one dog, one cat). This is my first attempt at writing a blog - so please bear with me.
