KFnet in T-Town

A huge maple tree fell across 31st near Proctor this morning. The tree crush a nearby SUV but didn't damage anything else. The road is completely closed to traffic as its blocking the entire road and some. Appeared as though the maple's base was rotted out since no root ball was above ground. Wasn't much wind to speak of last night so the weight of new spring foliage is likely to blame.

A city worker in the scene said 31st will likely be closed until Tuesday since insurance is involved due to the crushed vehicle. He also mentioned crews probably wouldn't take care of it anyway because its a residential street.
