Beer and/or Wine (and Comics) this Sat.

What's a person to do?

Even with the weather turning blustery and cold all of a sudden the first Saturday of October offers at least a few great ways to warm you up.

The first ever Tacoma Craft Beer Festival is down at the Foss Waterway Seaport. They're serving up an impressive list of local, regional, and national specialty brewers along with great music by the likes of Matt Coughlin and Out of Sight, Out of Mind featuring Joe Izenman.

If wine and fundraising is more your speed then head over to the Antique Quest & Wine Fest at the Museum of Glass. Benefiting the Tacoma Community House's ESL and adult basic education programs this occasion includes antiques appraisals a la Antiques Roadshow, wine tasting and live music.

And then there was art. A trio of talent from those fellows over at CLAW will be creating a 24 page comic book in 24 hours. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if you brought some beer or wine to their marathon location at Comic Book Ink from the aftorementioned events (though that's probably not really legal). They'll be there from 9am Saturday to 9am Sunday penning their stuff.

There's always more over at the FeedTacoma Calendar and don't forget you can post your event free anytime!

And the St. Nicholas Greek Festival is also going on!

I swear that thing always sneaks up on me. Maybe this will be the year I'll get to go!

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
