On stunning weekends like this what's your favorite Tacoma bar or restaurant porch, patio, or deck? Here are the ones that are right at the top of my list.
- Tatanka Take Out, 4915 N. Pearl (love watching the world drive by on Pearl there)
- Bayview Bar & Grill, 229 St. Helens (little known spot with a great day with a great view!)
- Harmon Tap Room, 204 St. Helens
- Harmon Hub, 203 Tacoma Ave. (who doesn't love when they roll up those garage doors?)
- Katy Downs, 3211 Ruston Way (though anywhere along the waterfront is mobbed during this kind of weather)
- Gibson's Frozen Yogurt, 8 N. Tacoma Ave. (great to cool down and chill in the Stadium neighborhood)

|Ram on Ruston Way -- Nice to be right next to the water. The wait time is pretty long on weekends, but you can sit in the bar until a table is open.
Duke's Chowder House -- I've only eaten inside, but the deck is similar to the Ram. It wasn't as crowded as the restaurants closer to downtown on Ruston Way (they're down a little bit).
Chamber Bay Grill -- maybe the best sunset view in the area. The food is good, though one time I had poor service. Great place to sit and talk with friends. They're usually very attentive and the view is glorious.
Topside Bar and Grill -- In Steilacoom. Where the old Jake's was. I haven't been here since it re-opened, but it's definitely one of the most stunning views for a restaurant patio. Unfortunately, on a sunny day, it's a long wait and the service gets spotty with so many sun-hungry diners.

|I like Morso or the Tides Tavern - both in Gig Harbor though.

|Jesse, I picked up that newspaper insert from Amocat. Thanks so much. I left something for you too.
I do like the Tides Tavern also.
Oh, I just remembered:
Steamers Cafe by Titlow Beach. Love that place.
The new restaurant opening up by the Narrows Marina should be interesting. The TNT Diner has been writing about it for a couple months.

|Oh ya, I did get that today Maria. Thank you! I plan on hanging that in my office. Cheers!|
Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.
So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
