FeedTacoma Feed Breakfast Tomorrow
Bring your hungry
Gather your droopy eyes around a table of friends for tomorrow's monthly FeedTacoma Feed. Breakfast at Puget Sound Pizza will be served and we'll be there at 7am. Stop by for a cup of $1 Valhalla coffee and stay for a chat while enjoying a buy-one-get-one-free breakfast. That's right, bring a freeloading friend or loved one and you won't have to worry about picking up their tab. Roll them down to PSP in their bed if you have to. Hope to see you there!

Anybody want to team up with me on this half-off action? Or will lonely ol' Joe just have to eat two breakfasts to take advantage of this snazzerific deal? Don't think I won't... |
![]() by Mandiferous on 2/19/2008 @ 10:28am | Do they have bacon? Mmmm... bacon.
I will do my best to be there. With the sun rising sooner, it's a little easier to get up earlier. But only a little. |
![]() by izenmania on 2/19/2008 @ 10:33am | What kind of breakfast joint would they be without bacon? Come on now. |
![]() by KevinFreitas on 2/19/2008 @ 10:38am | They have some of the best bacon in town, actually. For me, PSP is tied with the Spar. |
![]() by AP on 2/19/2008 @ 11:23am | Spar bacon is outta sight. Ergo, PSP bacon must be really, really, really good. Bacon lovers, heed the call! |
![]() by KevinFreitas on 2/19/2008 @ 11:24am | Any chance we'll see you there AP? If not, we should plan something sometime. |
![]() by Angela on 2/19/2008 @ 11:46am | Steve and I will be there! |
![]() by Fontaine on 2/19/2008 @ 4:40pm | I haven't been to PSP (might go tomorrow), but seriosuly folks, have y'all tried Marcia's Silver Spoon Cafe on South Tacoma Way? The undisputed, undefeated champion of breakfast. |
![]() by KevinFreitas on 2/19/2008 @ 4:47pm | Hope to see you there Fontaine. I'll definitely have to try Marcia's sometime. Thanks! |
![]() by ensie on 2/19/2008 @ 5:04pm | Frinklin has been freed from his bonds of slavery and will finally make an appearance at the Feed!
And I'll be there. |
![]() by HD on 2/19/2008 @ 6:14pm | Let's please try to keep Silver Spoon on the down low.
It's been flying under the radar for a long time. Great SOS and there is always the Silver Spoon Scramble if you are looking to split a meal. |
![]() by Nick on 2/19/2008 @ 6:33pm | I can't make any promises (me != a morning person), but I'd love to go - I'll try my hardest to roll out of bed a little earlier! |
![]() by KevinFreitas on 2/19/2008 @ 6:48pm | Should I offer up a wake-up call for y'all? ;) |
![]() by AP on 2/19/2008 @ 6:58pm | Yes, please. Can we schedule mine for 10am? "Wake up, brother" in your best Hulkster voice would be $$, but not necessary. Thanks! I will not be able to attend in the morning, but will definitely be there in spirit. I'll be looking for accounts of the action, here, starting no later than 7:30am. I know you guys won't let me down. Hope you all get seriously Fed Up. |
![]() by izenmania on 2/20/2008 @ 8:38am | baconbaconbaconbacon... |
![]() by ensie on 2/20/2008 @ 9:01am | HD - I understand the desire to keep places "on the down low" when they are your favorites and you don't want them to get crowded. But don't you want your favorite businesses to do well? Don't you want them to make money from an influx of business?
I've never understood the idea of keeping great places secret so that they don't do well. You can essentially drive them out of business that way. |
![]() by KevinFreitas on 2/20/2008 @ 9:09am | Great to see everyone this morning! I know it's tough to make it out in the morning but you're all troopers. A special shout out to first-timers Mandiferous, Nick, Frinklin, Fontaine, and his fiance Liz. Thanks for joining in and hope you enjoyed yourselves!
Quick gut check: should we see if Jim @ PSP is open to offering deals for these FeedTacoma Feeds at other hours? A weekend lunch or dinner perhaps? Or even a weekend breakfast? |
![]() by AP on 2/20/2008 @ 9:33am | Disregard my 10am wakeup call Kev. I'm up.
HD probably just likes to be stealth when dining in the meth/prostitute district. If word gets out, he may not be able to conduct his usual business when hangin at the Silver Spoon. I can't wait to try this place. I bet a bunch of people would turn out for a Saturday lunch sometime. Or even a brunch (i.e. breakfast much later than 7). Jim, what time does PSP stop serving breakfast on weekends? |
![]() by Jim @ PSP on 2/20/2008 @ 9:55am | 7 day a week breakfast. Breakfast served Saturday and Sunday 9am until 130ish. Breakfast served Monday thru Friday 7am until 1030am.
I'd be more than happy to consider any and all other days and times for Feeds and other events, except during Sunday breakfasts ... it's just way too busy @ PSP during Sunday Breakfasts. You guys let me know what day works out best for you all and I will make it happen. P.S. About 14 people this time came in for the BreakfastFeed ... best turnout yet since we started this event. The next Third Wednesday FeedTacoma BreakfastFeed will be March 19th. AND If you didn't make this one consider yourself invited to the next one. |
![]() by intacoma on 2/20/2008 @ 10:09am | jim is a pimp, sometimes I dream about psp breakfast |
![]() by jcbetty on 2/20/2008 @ 11:20am | Mostly, I dream about sleeping in. (Seriously: I have gorgeous dreams about lying in bed til noon. Then I wake up all sweaty and freaked out, b/c the kid has to be at school at 9. And there's quite a bit of stuff to do before that time-- ie, get self dressed, awake, ready for the day, and do same for kid.)(hence, I missed todays meet-up, damn & blast.)
Hoping for a later morning/week-end ish one. Or how about an unofficial third Thursday meet-up at and around Sanford & Son tomorrow?) --Or how about a "freshie lunch" meet-up when the downtown farmer's market opens up in the spring? |
![]() by jenyum on 2/20/2008 @ 11:21am | Marcia's doesn't really need discovering, it's always packed. So tiny, too, that any kind of organized feed trip there would overwhelm the place.
Sorry to miss you all today, I still can't taste anything. |
![]() by jenyum on 2/20/2008 @ 11:23am | Also, agreeing with jcbetty about unlikelihood of mamas getting out to breakfast on a weekday. A Saturday feed could work. |
![]() by Jim @ PSP on 2/20/2008 @ 11:49am | ... or maybe on a monday evening sometime in the near future @ PSP we could do breakfast for dinner?
We have never done that before and I'm just throwing this idea out there to unsilent majority. or maybe we'll do something like that on April Fools ... |
![]() by KevinFreitas on 2/20/2008 @ 11:54am | I'd be down with trying next month's feed as a breakfast for dinner. Any other takers? |
![]() by Erik on 2/20/2008 @ 12:30pm | ... or maybe on a monday evening sometime in the near future @ PSP we could do breakfast for dinner?
We have never done that before and I'm just throwing this idea out there to unsilent majority. Good idea. I am not really a 7:00 a.m. person. |
![]() by Angela on 2/20/2008 @ 1:07pm | I love breakfast for dinner! BTW - tried the French toast Steve ordered this morning - Outstanding!!! and thanks to Kevin for sharing his bacon after my tragic drop of my own this morning! |
About
Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.
So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
