Get Your Board Game Geek On

Retro can be so much fun for us 30-ish-something's that just want to forget about politics and commutes. The Tempest is offering, dare I say, a perfect combo of retro meets alcohol. Feast upon this:

Play your favorite board games. Play your new favorite board games. Bring a game to share. Drink cocktails.

Reads like sheer poetry, doesn't it? Stop by from 7-9pm this upcoming Sunday and indulge in your fantasy of wildly driving that little car from the game of Life around the board while little peg people fly everywhere!

I must confess that I am fiercely competitive when it comes to board games and will squash all those that attempt to challenge me at Scene-It. I can almost say the same thing about Trivial Pursuit: Pop Culture but I don't know squat about sports.

If anyone attends and notices a lack of Trivial Pursuit: Totally 80s Edition, I would be happy to donate mine. I'm afraid I was born a little too late to properly play the game (Although I did learn that Metallica is usually a safe answer for an 80s music question).

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
