Handy New Light

Just wanted to thank City of Tacoma crews for a change they made to a stoplight I frequent. The intersection of Tacoma Ave. and Center/Jefferson has been a bit of a bear lately since traffic has been reduced to one lane in either direction crossing the crumbling Tacoma Ave. bridge over South Tacoma Way. Vehicles turning would clog up lines of cars behind them which is now greatly helped by the new turn arrows put in. It's a simple change but is cause for far less frustration here so I'd say the ROI is pretty huge. So, thanks again City crews!

One other intersection that could desperately use a similar simple change would be the intersection of Proctor and 30th Streets. Please, please, please put in similar turn arrow lights at least on the 30th Street directions to help keep traffic and buses moving!

Another bad one is 6th and Alder. Impossible sometimes to turn left on to Alder coming down the hill, or to turn left on to Alder coming up the hill.

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
