At least for a day...
I've only recently had the pleasure of meeting Angela Jossy. She's a talent and a gem among Tacoman's. Right now she's looking for a new job and has some resumes out but, in the meantime, has a great idea to help her pay the bills. In a nutshell: hire her for a day. Here's the email she sent out for your hiring consideration:
I posted my little quandary on my blog and someone suggested that I ask people to hire me for 1 day for $100 to $200. During that day I would help them with whatever projects they need done.
This is a really great idea and I would totally love doing it. It sounds like it would it be an interesting walk through other peoples lives and a fun challenge.
Here's a few ideas about things I could do: photo editing, website maintenance, music promotion (build promo packs, write bios, etc), standard computer maintenance/troubleshooting, organizing files (computer files or paper files), letter writing, writing advertising or fund-raising copy, homework assistance, band booking, rides to the airport, pick-ups from the doctor or dentist, car washing, babysitting, cook dinner, address and lick envelopes, dog walking, take the dog to the groomer, pick up the dry cleaning, shopping, perform music for your event, make phone calls, research, design posters ... or whatever else you don't have time to do.
Seems like she's already got a few takers but hurry, this offer is only good until May 4th. Great idea Angela! I'm sure plenty of folks needing an assist out there would be lucky to have someone with such great ideas. Email her today.

|Thanks Kevin! My goal is to work for 11 individuals between now and when Mays bills are due (approximately May 5th). Since I posted this last night I've had 6 takers already. Monday through Friday are all spoken for. I still have Saturday the 26th, Sunday the 27th, Monday the 28th, Wednesday the 30th and Thursday the 1st through Sunday the 4th.
I'm updating a couple of web sites, driving someone to and later picking her up from the airport, doing some story research, doing some graphic design and one person is hiring me to fly over a few tall buildings. *smile* He has access to small planes and helicopters so he could be quite serious ... stay tuned!
Thanks for the support!
Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.
So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
