Millions of Minutes by June

MultiCare launched it's Million Minute Mission yesterday to help Pierce County get fit. Their goal is for folks to use their new website to track how every minute of exercise can really add up. You can go it alone or sign up and get others to pool their minutes as a team. There are even prizes awarded for the person who logs the 250,000th, 500,000th, 750,000th and 1,000,000 minutes. Don't be intimidated either 'cause physical activity of all types can be logged. "Light" activity includes things like walking, house cleaning, bowling, golf, and gardening among others. So go out and pull some weeds, pick up a spare, or walk to lunch and log those minutes.

SiteCrafting has a team setup and we're going strong in second place by only 2 minutes as of writing this. Our team is open to clients and friends of SiteCrafting so sign up and join in. I guess snowboarding a cumulative 4 straight hours certainly won't hurt our team's numbers. Guess I'll just have to go more often then. You know, for the team. ;) To the other teams I'll just say this: Bring it on!

Thanks Kevin. I ran down the street to the Parkway Tavern last night. I will have no problem repeating that a million times.

Actually, the listing of levels of exercise says, under Light Exercise, "light bowling".

No mention of where moderate and heavy bowling fall on the scale...

Full contact bowling... Hmm... We could be onto something here. Someone call Mark Burnett!

What about Wii bowling? Where does that fall?

Dunno if Wii bowling is legit but maybe. Definitely half the games in Raving Rabbids and Wii boxing would probably count.

I was wondering if intense office foosball matches would count? My palms can get pretty sweaty during a good game.

I'm curious where "Intense rocking under overheating stage lights" falls.

Steve and I have joined the SiteCrafting team (currently in 1st!). Guess this means I'll have to start joining him on those frigid evening dog walks! Brrrrrr!

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
