New Cajun Restaurant Coming to Downtown

This just in via Tacoma Untapped on the Facebook's:

How about a bit of Cajun in Downtown Tacoma? It appears that the owner's of Maxwell's Restaurant + Lounge will be opening a new restaurant & lounge at 1015 Pacific Ave. (under Expand Yoga) The new restaurant will apparently be called Bon Temps meaning "good times" or otherwise known as the town in True Blood. Bon Temps will be neighbors to the relocating Chopstix that will be renamed Keys on Main.

Yes please! Those of us who remember From the Bayou out near the PLU campus could use a good dose of Cajun food back into our lives. Let's hope they have a sausage gumbo that rocks my socks off, y'hear?

The mojo of the north end of Pacific Avenue keeps increasing with Dorky's leading the way being open until 2:00 a.m 6 days a week: www.facebook.com/dorkys253/info.

However, there are still a zillion empty retail spaces in the area including under the Tacoma - Pierce County Chamber of Commerce in the Rust Building. Sure would be nice to have some commerce in the first floor of the Chamber building...

It's really nice to have a new entertainment mix to bring people down and show other business owners that feet will be on the street to encourage restaurants and shops to open up. Having venues like Dorky's, Hell's Kitchen, and Chopstix within a couple blocks should only further encourage new food and retail.

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
