Pagoda Re-Opening This Saturday

The historic Pagoda in the heart of Point Defiance park has been closed since an arsonist set fire to it on an early April morning in 2011. After repairing damage inside and out the former Tacoma streetcar terminus is having a party! Stop by from 2-5pm this Saturday to take a self-guided tour and attend talks about the Pagoda's history, restoration, and nearby Japanese garden restoration project.

It's all free so cram some history into that melon and add more reasons why Tacoma rocks!

I like the old postcard picture Kev. Amazing how nice architecture can look when there aren't too many trees cluttering up the view.

Even cooler that you can just make out the roof of a streetcar on the other side (right) of the building.

Good eye Kevin.  I wouldn't have noticed that.

Here's an even better example:

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
