Paper Gallery Folding Up Shop

You may want to pay your respects to the Paper Gallery while out at the Jr. Daffodil this weekend. During our first visit there last December the husband of the wife that runs the place let us know they planned to close up shop and retire. Well, it appears that time is drawing near with a 25% to 70% sale on now and a sign that confirms all this. We received great service from them around the holidays and what we thought were great prices on what we got. Paper Gallery, we barely knew you but thanks for what we got.

So, though Paper Gallery's not even out the door yet, what would you put in their space at the corner of N. 26th and Adams? Anything missing in Proctor that would help round out the neighborhood?

Well, I just heard it actually won't be retail replacing this shop. It's a shame there isn't more of a Pool's Corner like building there so businesses could get off street level so shops and food could be there.

Nice post. Proctor currently has 100 percent occupancy so I am sure something will go in there.

Another restaurant?

The site is right across from the library where the Mason Statute and columns will be placed.

I think the zoning is OK for my suggested businesses. Regarding the Mason Plaza, the site is still in the proposal stage (I believe). The fund-raising effort is still more than $100K short.

The new tenant is going to be (drum roll please) Edward Jones Investment Company. Wow, that will get the pedestrian traffic pumped!

About

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
