Quick Bites - Friesenburgersentwinkies

Hit Friesenburgers near the T-dome for lunch Tuesday with some co-workers as seems to be the trend now about once a week. Must be some kind of addictive chemical they put in their food 'cause the craving is real, baby.

Anyway, the newer mini-Friesenburger offering is an awesome way to get my egg and bacon on a burger fix while slimming it down from a 1/2 to 1/4 pound patty. Zastica man and I also decided to spend the whopping $1.47 to snag us a taste of their new deep fried Twinkie. Not expecting much more than a crunchy, crusted treat we were impressed that we were served this beauty:

It came complete with a raspberry and chocolate sauce drizzle on top and on the plate to make it look like a smiley-faced man blindfolded by the calorie rich deep fried goodness. Pretty hard to beat a dessert like that for well under two Washington's. It also hatched the idea among us that they should host a Deep Fried Days there and let folks bring in food stuffs of a certain size and smaller for the frying. Don't have one myself so I'd pay good money to have the odd roma tomato or bowl of chocolate death cereal dunked.

Sigh... a man can dream. ;)
