South Sound Technology Conference program

Save the date of Nov. 29 for the 8th annual South Sound Technology Conference. This year's topics focus on blogging and it's impact on our lives in business, civic involvement, news media, and even parenting. Local bloggers, business leaders, and reps from local media will be leading and on panels as well as demonstrations and individual topic break out sessions. More details and registration info (the conference is free, btw) will follow but here's a basic outline of the day:

8:30am - Morning mingling
9:00am - Kick-off from Adam Smith
9:15am - "How Blogging Has Transformed News", Mark Briggs, The News Tribune
10:15am - "Blog Showcase", Andrew Fry
10:30am - "ParentBloggers", TBD
11:30am - Break
11:45am - "Supporting Blog Technologies", Kevin Freitas, SiteCrafting Inc.
12noon - "Civic Blogging", Paul Ellis, Tacoma BIA
1:00pm - Closing Remarks and Break-Out Sessions

The details are all being finalized as we speak but it should be a great day with some rich topics and discussion. There's also more info over at Andrew Fry's blog.

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
