Stadium Thriftway's New Layout
After Thorax's recent post about Bruce Titus in Stadium closing enlightened many of us that Stadium Thriftway will expand into their space there was a party. Last Friday all the local grocery's employees were decked out in construction orange and yellow hard hats to celebrate their new expansion. They had a display with their newly renovated layout that I've annotated for you below.
So what do you think?

Ok, it looks like any other grocery store. I love this store, and I hope that the bigger layout doesn't lose it's charm.. and they better still have chips and dip samples! |

by Thorax O'Tool on 9/29/2009 @ 10:39am | Oooooohhhhhh sweeeeet!
Right on, Thriftway! Maybe next they'll buy the upstairs? That would be awesome. |
by Erik Hanberg on 9/29/2009 @ 10:47am | I'm very excited about this. I hear they expect phase 1 of the expansion to be ready by Thanksgiving. |
by Jim C on 9/29/2009 @ 4:45pm | From what I've heard around the neighborhood, Titus has moved their used car sales but the Service Department is staying put - so the second floor of that corner building will remain occupado. They're still turning on those hi-powered flood lights every night, though, burning through some major watts to light up empty parking lots. It strangely appropriate - Kevin F, if you read this: you could get some seriously awesome pictures if you go over there after dark - the juxtaposition of the harsh white light, bare asphalt and retro Chevy signage says a lot about the time we live in. |
by Thorax O'Tool on 9/29/2009 @ 6:38pm | What will happen with the twin lots? I know what I'd like to see, but will that happen given the economy? |

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.
So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
