The City of Tacoma's blah website ironically features a shunned little park called Pugnetti on it's main business page. Pugnetti has been through a lot recently housing Tacoma's Occupy movement for a few months then being fenced before being put up for sale by the WA department of transportation.
In other news, the City's website re-do project might not be going so well with their foreign labor from Toronto. They recently put out an RFP for a website redesign project manager which can only mean good things, right? Where is that redesign, anyway...?

I think the city website is intentionally confusing. By making it hard for people to locate the content desired they are hoping people will give up and do something else.

Haha, fair point @fredo! Certainly not how the company I work for does things so perhaps that's why the City sided with foreign shores.

I agree with Fredo 100%.

Intentionally? No. That would mean there was a master plan. That would make them mad-geniuses.
No the poor design is just inherent in the system. Path of least resistance and all. BUT, they are happy that it is so confusing, because there is no way they can provide the service levels we would demand if we could get through the BS.

Agreed, it's not on purpose at all. Its just amazing Tacoma, of all places, doesn't have a kick-ass web resource. Ludicrous!
Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.
So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
