If you see someone driving around slowly, starting and stopping they're likely from out of town of new here so cut 'em some slack.
We've all seen it. A driver ahead of you leaving downtown on Pacific tapping their breaks because, all of a sudden, they realize there's no more downtown and, oh crap, where do I turn around -- this isn't where I want to be?! Scenes like these of lost souls just trying to find their way around our diagonal and often disappearing streets are commonplace. The frustration, if you've ever been there yourself somewhere, is sweat-inducing and can leave a truly bad taste your mouth.
If you're in a car behind someone obviously lost, instead of tailgating or zooming past into an oncoming lane, cut 'em some slack, back off and give them some space to find their way. As a pedestrian I've been asked for help on a few occasions from confused drivers and a small offer of help can go a long way to taking the sour out of someone's Tacoma driving experience.

Ran into two of these on the way to/from lunch. I think the rainy weather only compounds the issue for Tacoma newbies unfortunately.

anyone else think they may just be driving slow out of pure astonishment?

Haha, I love that perspective and hope that's the case every time! I know at least when I walk around town I'm pretty often astonished about what a great/beautiful place we live.

I try to get out of that area as fast as possible. The ST construction has unearthed some bad smells. Maybe the main drain to the Foss that runs under that area is leaking?

Tacoma Untapped.com? HAAHHAHAHA well maybe tacoma has finally "tapped" into something! Hope to never meet tacoma's 'main drain' in a dark alley or at the end of a night of self-esteemless drinking with a roofie on top.
Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.
So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
