'Tall Ships' Mural in Old Town

Folks approaching Old Town from downtown Tacoma will now see a great new mural on their drive/walk/bike/bus into the area. "Tall Ships" now fills a 16'x6.5' corner of the Old Town Music Society building's south wall. The piece is done in a sepia toned style by local artist Janice Wagner and made to depict ships on the water from Tacoma's past.

Though already plainly visible, there's an unveiling Wednesday morning at 9am, May 14th. Beautiful work Janice and thanks to the Old Town Business & Professional Org for helping make this happen.

Old Town's looking pretty good with their nice welcome signs and now this mural. Once Dock and "D" Streets are ready to go Tacoma should be good and ready for Tall Ships 2008.

Wow. Nice.

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
