Video Stroll Through History Museum Fence

Or rather the new space opened up through it. You may have heard the news yesterday that, after 6 years, a passage through the Washington State History Museum fence was opened up. Permanently. Here's a video of my first stroll through this worthy addition to Tacoma:

As I snapped a couple photos and took this video at least 5 people glided easily through the new route to/from Pacific Ave and the Museum of Glass and waterfront. It's a huge win for a more walkable downtown and certainly a long time coming. Thanks to all (like City council members Boe and Campbell) who helped make this a reality!

So awesome to see!

Thanks for everyone for their hard work over the years to make Tacoma a more walkable and useful city.

This was a hard fought win!

Memories of the area, and not all of them good:

You fools, it's a trap. A portal to another time, another dimension has just opened up. The museum was just trying to save our soon to be worthless lives. May the lord have mercy on us all.

Oh, and by the way, where is the wall where Nicandri wanted to honor those fine donors. I never saw any donor names on the fence just removed. I could have sworn that Nicandri would have given at least one testicle to see that the donors were properly honored. I guess it was just cheaper to erect a simple fence and forget about honoring any donors.

About

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
