KFnet in T-Town

Why FeedTacoma exists

As I spent and day-and-a-half laid out sick from food poisoning I could barely sit up or eat let alone blog. Did anybody miss me? Hopefully not because FeedTacoma kept on chugging. And that's the whole point. When I first set out to create a site that pooled multiple Tacoma-centric blogs together I thought this "open source" mentality to content creation would prove powerful. Many people contributing bits and pieces pooled together makes for a hearty, local, web community. I never wanted interested people in this town to have to go without if any given local blogger went AWOL.

The proof was in the pudding when I took a look at the days activity via my iPod touch yesterday from bed and saw a hearty 12 items on the FT homepage. Perfect! Over time, local bloggers will come and go but FeedTacoma will remain a tried and true place to get what you need re: everything Tacoma.

P.S. - I'm doing better today but you'd be surprised how sore your muscles get after vomiting over a half dozen times. Sorry, I know, TMI. ;)

Boy is it ever that time of year. I am just miserable with a head cold. Anyway, I am happy that FT is working out as you planned. I remember you speaking about that point in time where you hoped that the engine would continue to run whether you provided the fuel or not and it is great to see it has reached that point. Perhaps that is something you can elaborate on Nov 29th at the conference. Get better before then, as there should be no vomiting from the podium.

Haha, I've done plenty of public speaking so I'm sure everything except my words will stay inside me. Hope you feel better as well, my friend!

Yes, but you are still able to reach the keyboard!

I wouldn't be surprised by that at all. I missed work a couple months ago suffering my own violent upheaval of sorts. 'Tis great fun.

About

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.

So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
