There Will Be Bacon
When food comes up I usually make mention of bacon. My friends know me to be a bit of a bacon snob. Though I haven't taken to a Bjornson-esque round-up of local bacon offerings I'll serve this one up for the good of your Sunday morning order.
Last weekend I stopped by The Spar down in Old Town for some breakfast with Sarah. Zoe took care of us and knows my drill of asking for my bacon extra, extra, super duper, as legally close to burnt before it catches fire as possible. On this particular morning she went above and beyond. It took probably 10 extra minutes over my meal to have the bacon ready because Zoe wasn't happy with it and sent it back before I even saw it. Needless to say, when it came, it was well worth the wait. Crispy to perfection, just to the edge of being burnt.

It was certainly amazing enough to warrant another video in my "Anything Cams" series. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Bacon Cam:
Thanks Zoe for a fantastic bacon experience!

I'm hungry. |
by drizell on 6/1/2008 @ 7:16pm | Let me guess: you're so bored with your life that you don't have anything to post about except bacon. Keep eating that crap if you want to die of a heart attack at age 38. That's only a couple years away. Who will we rely on to provide so many quality photographs then. If I were you, I would convert to Judaism and become a vegetarian. Then you're guaranteed to still be around 50 years from now. |
by KevinFreitas on 6/2/2008 @ 10:22am | Not bored with life at all. In fact, quite the opposite. I'm living it up by enjoying the tasty tastiness that is bacon.
I eat little meat, actually, so being a vegetarian wouldn't be a big shift. Nevertheless, bacon happens. |
by Mandiferous on 6/2/2008 @ 10:39am | Floppy bacon all the way!!! |
by Heather on 6/2/2008 @ 11:35am | hmmmm, I was considering a dog for dinner, but now I'm thinking I'm going to have to swing by Doyle's for some bacon.

by KevinFreitas on 6/2/2008 @ 11:41am | There's bacon at the Red Hot as well, Heather. BLT dogs and other tasty options. Plus Mariners and American Gladiators. So many choices...

by intacoma on 6/2/2008 @ 11:42am | hows the bacon at RH? |
by KevinFreitas on 6/2/2008 @ 11:44am | Actually don't know. I'm so one-track with my orders there that I haven't even tried the stuff. I imagine it's microwaved since they don't have a fryer. |

Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.
So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
