Wave at the people coming or going on the Amtrak train whenever I can.
Dock street is a beautiful walk, bike, drive, or train route in Tacoma and it's pretty easy to take that for granted among so many other amazing routes in the City of Destiny. But last year I became inspired by a childhood-like fascination with waving at really big things you don't see all that often. Like trains.
But instead of waving at the conductor in hopes of getting a toot or two of their whistle I'm trying to spread a bit of welcoming cheer to the people rolling by on those rails. My hope is that, to those passengers, they take away something like "Hope you enjoyed Tacoma, come again soon!" or "Stop on in sometime if you're just passing through!" And even for the people who live here who are traveling elsewhere a hearty "Bon voyage!" might just make them miss home a bit more while they're away.
So, if you see a guy riding his bike or green Vespa along Dock Street waving at the Amtrak, that's me.

|i like to ride my bike through neighborhoods. the bike lanes on the big streets have nothing on just finding one like 8th or 14th or ? and going for a cruz. i don't wave though. there are too many great things i have seen over the years to list, but tacoma is a very rich place to glide through on 2 wheels.|
Although I have another home on the web I thought it might be nice to lead by example a bit and put this blog system up to the test myself.
So far, so good... Funny how I build web tools for other people that are far better than the one's I have setup over on KFnet.
