RR Anderson, Cultural Arts Specialist for Hire
by morgan on 10/7/2008 @ 10:24pm | That street name has always perplexed me. It's very... divisive. |
by gracesullivan on 10/7/2008 @ 10:31pm | It really is a wonderful design. Thanks for using my picture. It's not the highest quality, but I was so happy to have found a poster of my own.
It is featured on my blog here: lifeofgrace.wordpress.com |
![]() by Mofo from the Hood on 10/7/2008 @ 11:03pm | I don't get that poster or any of them really. And not for lack of a subscription. |
by Erik on 10/8/2008 @ 12:19am | That street name has always perplexed me. It's very... divisive.
Now the city is considering renaming Broadway Plaza with an obscure name. Sure would be nice if they kept it Broadway Plaza as it is a continuation of Broadway. So much for "wayfinding." |
by Crenshaw Sepulveda on 10/8/2008 @ 12:59am | I've been lobbying to have Broadway Plaza renamed as Sepulveda Boulevard. |
by KevinFreitas on 10/8/2008 @ 6:45am | Ooo, thanks for the post RR. I'm going to have to see if I can't snag one out in the wild. |
by tacomachickadee on 10/8/2008 @ 7:10am | One of the posters found me on Monday. Seriously. It was kinda creepy ... I felt stalked. I think it was just finding a dry place to be ... |
by morgan on 10/8/2008 @ 9:50am | That is creepy tc. Before the Renaissance, I used to enjoy seeing the posters all over downtown. Now, with only a handful of vacant blighted buildings remaining, I hardly see them anywhere. |
by tacomachickadee on 10/8/2008 @ 10:26am | Morgan: Try Sixth Ave, the Stadium District, MLK, etc. |
by dawntown on 10/8/2008 @ 11:35am | Nice green shag carpet, goes well with the poster. Weird, huh |
by tommyllew on 10/9/2008 @ 10:19am | It's a tricky assignment for two middle-aged white guys to take on a subject like "Tacoma's Civil Rights Struggle." |
by Erik on 10/9/2008 @ 11:47am | All of the Beautiful Angle statements seem to be focus on perpetual angst. Not a bad genre. |
by Dave_L on 10/9/2008 @ 5:17pm | "Empire Way" is available. (just kidding)
Interesting point - I never thought of that. |
by NineInchNachos on 10/9/2008 @ 6:55pm | I like this one. Makes me wanna see that WSHM exhibit. |
by pietogo on 10/10/2008 @ 7:06am | ooh, oh, oh! I know! Let's call it Beautiful Angle Blvd...Those Beautiful Angle guys would be sure to post their posters along that road. |

RR Anderson is one of the most curious characters in the UFO lore and the history of underground cartooning. He fought bizarre underground beings in the caves of Alaska, was wounded by a laser before it was invented, and had a background with the clandestine branch of the Tacoma Cartoonists Society.
