She makes awesome "special" tea.

I can't wait! All these art shows I've been attending for the last few years - this is the first time I've actually submitted something. I made 37 pieces of visual art that also make music when combined with a working CD player. Whala!
It's singing art!

Yeah! Buy Micheala Eaves's's's stuff. She's grrreat!

So much fun. I bought a fantastic bag made by Gretchen, a beautiful "unfinished" portrait by Zerovoid, and of course I couldn't leave without a piece of singing art by Angie. I'm looking forward to going back so I can take some time looking around -- seemed like a good sized crowd tonight!

I wanted to make it but I had two little prior commitments elsewhere. So I hope there will still be items there when we make our Saturday tea stop!

I snuck in early with my daughter yesterday.

I bought a cool scarf from Gretchen.
The COOLEST mesh mask. I forgot the artist name (sorry).

Three year old was tugging on my arm when I was trying to look around.

I'll be back. I need to buy 4 more tacoma artist made gifts to send to England.

Have a happy day!

I believe those mesh sculptures were by the fabulous woman behind Urban Art Festival: Laura Eklund.

They were super cool!

my favorites:

* Eklund bargain bins
* sewn camel with button eyes
* Maureen's crazy hand calligraphy
* using brown cardboard as canvas
* daniel blue t-shirts

RR Anderson is one of the most curious characters in the UFO lore and the history of underground cartooning. He fought bizarre underground beings in the caves of Alaska, was wounded by a laser before it was invented, and had a background with the clandestine branch of the Tacoma Cartoonists Society.
