Maybe I am arriving late to the party and you all already know, but Google unveiled Doctype the other day, a Web Developer's resource with articles about a number of things, and information about web standards (till I saw it I was still wondering if Google did care or supported web standards or not).

On other weird Google news, just yesterday I went to see Ralph Nader in the University of Washington in Seattle. Apart from making a case about the US being under the line that divides Democratic countries from the rest (because corporations being treated as the only voting citizens), and acknowledging the other 2 parties run the show, he surprised me saying that after being invited to talk at Google a couple days ago*, Google volunteered to host the presidential debate with all parties! They see it as one of the few independent media out there that will even allow this. Again, till hearing that, I was not that sure myself of Google really "not being evil".

All in all, a week of interesting stuff coming from Google.
